Personality and Background: Captain Brando Magnusson is one of the Earth Federation’s toughest captains, with impressive victories all over the terrestrial sphere. He is known for his tough, no-bullshit personality, and will stop at nothing to secure his goals no matter what the cost. Magnusson’s reputation is built upon his goal of military perfection. The captain has become infamous for his fiery temperament and use of expletives.
Magnusson attributes his pugnacious leadership style to the influence of previous mentors, especially during his experience in the TITANS. He claims that he had suffered the worst, most inhumane training regimens back when he was just a common soldier.
Obsessed with exterminating the Zeon Remnants, Magnusson is not just satisfied with just driving them away from Earth. This can be attributed to the death of his family during the One Year War.
