Ascendant
-An enhanced /evolved human being. Ascendants have an extremely high degree of spatial awareness. Some are capable of empathically detecting other Ascendants, and are sensitive to the hostile intentions directed at them by others, allowing them to uncannily preemptively react to such dangers. They learn more quickly than normal humans, and their bodies are stronger, faster, and virtually immune to disease. They can also sense spirits of the dead. Interestingly, Ascendants upon reaching adulthood, age slower than normal humans, and upon reaching a certain amount of power, their aging ceases. However, Ascendants who attain biological immortality are very rare. Because of these abilities they have unfortunately been used in wars as spies or Mobile Suit pilots.
Azure Earth Organization (AEO)
-Once the dominant force that controlled Earth and Space. It was reorganized as TBS or True Blue Sphere under the rule of Isshin Yaho in LC 207. The Azure Earth Organization fielded Beat Gundams and Nimbus mobile suits from LC 206-207.
Beat Gundam
-The first ever Gundam-type mobile suit to be rolled out by the AEO. A prototype general-purpose mobile suit, the Beat Gundam can be equipped with a variety of weapons depending on the mission. The AE-206GX Beat Gundam was the ancestor of the AEO's AE-206MS Nimbus, and partly inspired the design of the GDR-09 Kiba.
Boss Chief (Gilbert Guerra)
-A former AEO war veteran who became a rebel leader in LC 206. He became disillusioned with the AEO's harsh ways of dealing with colonists, but at the same time appalled by CHROME's terroristic ways. He piloted the new rebel Prototype, the Kiba, before falling at the hands of Kain Arrows and Rap Goblin.
CHROME Empire(Colonial Humanity Restoration Objective and Management of Earth)
-An independent state formed by Solenus Gravebrood. CHROME strived for peaceful reforms but the AEO refused to listen, the latter stating that only those who were born on Earth were worthy enough to lead the world. Wars broke out, lasting for decades. In LC 206, Lalionus Gravebrood, great granddaughter of Solenus, assumes monarchy of CHROME. She carries on her family's will as a savior of the colonies and wages the Second Lunar War against the AEO.
Cinco Antioch
-(see Maru Stray)
Crimson Skulls
-AEO's Special-ops unit during the 1st Lunar War. It's members comprise of Rabid, Gilbert Guerra, and a several anti-government pilots. Rabid and Gilbert left the AEO and became rebels after seeing the growing corruption and betrayal in the AEO's ranks. They aided the heroes of the 2nd Lunar War to victory. The Crimson Skulls logo is tattooed into each of its member's body.
Cyber Ascendant
-Artificial Ascendants created by manipulating the brain of ordinary people. The process is extremely painful and dangerous, with a success rate of only 3%. Many homeless children were taken by CHROME back then, to be experimented on. Hundreds of innocent lives were wasted by failed attempts to create Cyber Ascendants, so this process was banned in LC 209.
Cyber Ascendant Clone
-These were the genetic descendants of the Midori-line of Cyber Ascendants.
Deceit Gundam
-An immensely powerful mobile suit created by the True Blue Sphere's chairman, Isshin Yaho. The Deceit Gundam was armed to the teeth and was considered the ultimate mobile suit of all time. Under Isshin's control, the Deceit was able to hold off and destroy many ace pilots. Its speed can dodge the fastest of attacks. Eventually, the mobile suit was destroyed by Katsushiro Asano and his Gundam Max-Breaker.
Desolate Gundam
-The Desolate Gundam was a colossal mobile suit piloted by the CHROME test pilot Midori. She went berserk on a mission in the AEO Senate Colony, forcing her ally Rap Goblin to kill her.
Dos Leviticus
-Once the seat of the mighty CHROME empire, now it has become a civilian colony. Was split in half by the HEBROON cannon.
Eden
-Isshin's base, located in Antarctica. It was the seat of the TBS government and housed the massive anti-colony HEBROON cannon. Destroyed sometime after Isshin's defeat.
Efren Gravebrood
-Gashakur's son, Solenus' grandson, and the father of the CHROME leader Lalionus Gravebrood.
Enhanced Human
-Isshin's perfect soldiers were created through gene manipulation and extensive training. Unlike Ascendants, they cannot communicate telepathically, but were considered much stronger physically. The Enhanced Human program was aborted immediately following Isshin's death.
Isshin's Enhanced Humans had some biotechnological modification and were mentally conditioned to eliminate their sense of fear and increase aggression in combat; the subjects were mostly regular pilots who were given regular doses of the performance-enhancing drug Tetaphylline. This drug had a negative effect on the pilots' mental stability and caused them to behave in undesirable ways during battle. It also had very brief duration, and as the effect wore off it left the pilots incapacitated with severe withdrawal symptoms, as their nervous systems began to collapse without regular doses.
Exceed and Excel
-Twin Gundams made during the end of the Second Lunar War. Destroyed by the Deceit Gundam in the final battle along with their pilots. Their fighting data was later salvaged and studied for the creation of other mobile suits
Exelios Gundam
-Piloted by Khayra Alfius, this legendary mobile suit is armed with the Exelios Cannon. Disappeared during the final battle along with its pilot.
Federal Union of Space and Earth
-The Federal Union of Space and Earth (FUSE) is the merging of the AEO-TBS and CHROME after the war. The FUSE created their own shadow peace-keeping task force Einherjars. Though they claim Einherjars is a front-line deterrent against any organization that would threaten their government and peace, their true mission was to subjugate and control any nations that refused to join the FUSE charter.
Gravebrood Family
-The ruling family of most colonies seeking independence. Founders and leaders of CHROME, up until the Second Lunar War. They were all presumed to be killed, except for Lalionus who exiled herself in an undisclosed location
Gundams
-State-of-the-art mobile suits that were fielded mostly by AEO and FUSE forces. Gundams were more than just high-end war machines; they were also powerful symbols that made their presence on the battlefield. The first ever Gundam-type mobile suit was the Beat Gundam, rolled out in mid-206 LC up to the end of the war. The Gundam's distinctive appearance has been borrowed by several mobile suits from other factions, such as the Rebel's Kiba and Djemme Ninja suits.
-After the 2nd Lunar War, Gundams became a universal symbol for war and is being frowned upon. The FUSE has scrapped all their Gundam projects and went with the more favorable looking mobile suits.
Hagedorn Island Base
-Located in the Philippines, it was the former Rebel hideout. Destroyed by the Desolate Gundam piloted by Midori.
Hana Ban Ban Cafe
-Hana Ban Ban Corporation (HBBC) is an international coffee and coffeehouse chain based in the lunar city of Mare Tranquillitatis. HBBC is the largest coffeehouse company in the entire Earth Sphere, with 17,009 stores in 50 countries, and 4056 in 143 space colonies.
Helios-788
-A space colony located in the Lagrange 4 point. It is notable for large solar processors that harnessed energy from the sun.
Hypsilophodon-class
-The backbone of the CHROME's space fleet is the Hypsilophodon-class light cruiser. It was the first warship designed to carry mobile suits for the CHROME, and had a landing capsule that could (and often did) carry additional mobile suits. There were several models of the Hypsilophodon produced during the wars, and one of them is Lalionus' personal flagship, the "Empyrean".
J-System
-The J-System is an inherent feature of the Exelios Gundam that temporarily increases its particle output beyond normal parameters for greatly enhanced combat performance. The system can only be activated by a Khayra Alfius, a living CPU that can access the hidden abilities of mobile suits. Using this power he was able to decimate the CHROME fleet using the Exelios' mega particle cannon.
Isshin Yaho
-Once he was Supreme Chairman of the now disbanded True Blue Sphere. He inherited the Enhanced Human project, created by Dr. Phillip De Guzman back on LC 131, from the genetics physicist Dr. Mike Rivers. Isshin experimented on normal pilots and enhanced their abilities on or off a mobile suit. He used his enhanced soldiers to take over the AEO and to execute his insane ideas to reset the world's population. He created the monstrous Deceit Gundam and sought purification of the world. A mysterious and calculating man, he manipulated Khayra Alfius to carry out his dastardly plans. Killed by Katsushiro Asano when the Max Breaker Gundam's physical sword pierced the Deceit's cockpit.
Jin Muraki
-The first Ascendant, and presumably the most powerful of them all. He was born almost a century before the Second Lunar War. At the young age of 16, his heightened senses and powers evolved, making him a legendary Cirrus fighter pilot. He soon discovered that upon reaching his prime, his body stopped aging, making him biologically immortal. Somehow he is still alive in LC 214, but his exact whereabouts are unknown.
Kain Arrows
-Kain was an ace pilot of CHROME and served as a personal guardian for Lalionus Gravebrood. He fell in love with the Cyber Ascendant Midori Shiranui, and was driven insane after her death. Kain tried to fight the Deceit Gundam but failed miserably. He escaped the burning wreck of his Gundam Double Arrow and went in hiding after the Second Lunar War. He was also the self-proclaimed rival of Maru Stray.
Katsushiro Asano
-The one who defeated Isshin Yaho's Deceit Gundam. He was once a member of TBS and belonged among Isshin's enhanced soldiers but after realizing Isshin's evil plans, he had a change of heart and fought rebelled against Isshin. His Gundam, the Maxbreaker, was destroyed together with the Deceit Gundam. He's relieved his piloting and has given up on fighting. Now he lives among us as a delivery boy.
Khayra Alfius
-A mysterious boy searching for clues about his past. He possessed the Thunder Eyes, an Enhanced Human ability that allows him to reprogram and hack into machines and mobile suits. Although a coward, he joined the fight against the Deceit Gundam but was defeated like the others. He ran away during the final moments of the final battle.
Lalionus Gravebrood
-The leader of the CHROME Empire who took refuge at the asteroid base Dos Leviticus. Lalionus took over her late father's role, and at age sixteen found herself in charge of a community of rebellious spacenoids. Despite her youth, Lalionus' charisma, guile, and remarkable Ascendant abilities enabled her to rally the colonists to take up arms against the AEO. After the war, she reluctantly joined the FUSE as the leader representing spacenoids.
Lunar Arms Tech
-Formerly a CHROME mobile suit factory, it was seized by the FUSE after the war.
Lunar Century
-A new dating system that replaced the A.D. calendar.
Lunar City
-A large modern city on the moon relative to the size of Hong Kong.
Lunar Plan
-A project started by the FUSE in order to commemorate the coming of the 220th year of the Lunar Century. The plan involves the creation of an artificial planet called the Mayari-001, which will be sent to other worlds for exploration and repopulation.
Lunarium
-A unique compound which can only be produced in the zero-gravity conditions of space. In addition to its incredible strength--several times the strength and heat-resistance of titanium, Lunarium alloy is electrically non-conductive. However, this material is expensive and difficult to manufacture, making it unfeasible for mass production.
-Lunarium is created through the most advanced refining, fusing, and deoxidizing techniques, which are only possible in space. The refinement process causes the alloy to become electrically neutral, making it ideal for use with Beam-type weapons, and as armor, the material is almost entirely resistant to charge. However, the extremely high cost of production makes it impractical for military use.
-The very existence of Lunarium was kept secret, it was later use as a secret weapon for Isshin Yaho.
Margarita-09
This is an old space colony, which uses the old "Island 3" design and is located at Lagrange 3. The colony is reinforced with a central axial shaft and the colony cylinder is attached to a mining asteroid, providing the colony with resources. The colony is mainly used for civilians with large space provided for them.
Maru Stray
-Formerly an AEO Lieutenant, but quit the service due to change of philosophies. He was a natural Ascendant, and was known for being a legendary mobile suit pilot. He established a heated rivalry with a CHROME pilot named Kain Arrows, and fought with him for Midori Shiranui's love. Last seen in LC 207 fighting Isshin Yaho's Gundam.
Mayari-001
-A large Dyson Sphere created by the FUSE. It is an artificial satellite located behind the moon. Mayari-001 can house millions of people, and has enough resources and fuel to last 1500 years.
Medicinal Treatment (Enhanced Humans)
-Drugs created by Isshin Yaho's laboratories for the consumption of his Enhanced Humans. These medications grant them superb physical and mental abilities, and suppresses their unstable personalities.
Mobile Armor
-Mobile armors are similar to mobile suits in technology and operation, but vary tremendously in design. Mobile armors are almost always significantly larger than mobile suits, and non-humanoid in appearance as well. Due to their larger size, they frequently equip more powerful energy sources than other mobile weapons, giving them the ability to mount more energy-intensive equipment such as large directed-energy weapons or powerful defensive systems. Their large size also makes them capable of using equipment that is too bulky to fit into mobile suits.
Mobile Suit
-Mobile suits are the most popular and most numerous type of mobile weapon. They are humanoid combat vehicles, typically employing two arms to deploy weapons, two legs for propulsion, and a head that acts as a main camera. Typically speaking, a mobile suit is approximately 60 feet in height, with a cockpit located in the unit's torso. However, exceptions are not uncommon; units that are much larger or slightly smaller are not unheard of.
Though the exact development process behind the creation of mobile suits varies by company, they are generally used for their versatility, with many models being usable in a wide variety of environments; from inside space colonies to in open space, across all parts of Earth, and even occasionally underwater or in mid-air.
Niido
-Another form of MS carrier used by CHROME in the Second Lunar War. It was shaped like a large bird and saw frequent use in atmospheric missions.
Park Heavy Industries
-A military contractor and mobile weapon developer based in the L-02 Colony Cluster, with facilities in both space and Earth. Though part of the neutral colonies, Park Heavy Industries had once secretly collaborated with the AEO in its work on its prototype mobile weapons called Gundams.
Rabid
-A Rebel Leader on FUSE's the top 10 most wanted list. Rabid aided the heroes of the 2nd Lunar War deeat Isshin Yaho. She is easily pissed off by Khayra Alfius' cowardly attitude. She also hates being asked or reminded of her age.
Tetaphylline
-Medications used for maintenance of Enhanced Humans.
Treaty of Dos Leviticus
Following the Battle of Dos Leviticus, a ceasefire was declared between the two fighting forces. After several months of negotiation a formal peace treaty was signed between the AEO and the CHROME onboard a ship near Dos Leviticus. Half of wreckage of the colony was preserved as a war memorial, while the half was turned into a civilian settlement.
