Character Personality and History
Katsushiro is a 18-year old test pilot for the A.E.O. stationed on Earth, who dreams of being the great hero that brings peace to the world. He is strong willed, determined and has deep fantasies about being a revered champion. He is a Defensive class-pilot and initially uses a shield in one hand and any make-shift weapon he could find in the other (usually electric poles or large trees). The name "Katsushiro" means Katsu (‘to win’ or ‘to gain dominance over’) and Shiro (fourth born son); Despite being an inexperienced pilot, Katsushiro is nonetheless a decent fighter and after joining his unit, he does his best to support the group in combat. One of his attributes is that he possesses a physical resilience of ridiculous proportions, at one point taking a heavy beating from a crowd when he attended a peace rally, and remaining standing throughout, despite numerous heavy blows to his head, some of which he failed to notice.
Katsushiro was born and raised in the colony, L-04 (Lunar 04 one of many colonies near the moon). He is the youngest of his parents’ four children and is the only member of their family who is in the military. His lack in piloting skills is compensated by warrior spirit, his undying courage and his determination to never give-up.
Ensign Asano is close friends with Elfier Santos. A very shy person with a weak looking frame and glasses above his head. Elfier is very clumsy in nature and as his close friend, Katsushiro often helps Elfier out and acts as his bodyguard when others try and pick on his friend. Katsushiro also sometimes rely on Elfier's advices and tactics to help him fight during battles.
